There are several jobs available in physical therapy, including therapists, physical therapist assistants and physical therapy administrators. The requirements for each of these roles can vary greatly from one place to another, depending on the kind of physical therapy professional you seek. In general, anyone can become a physical therapist. To do so, however, you will need to complete a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in physical therapy. Another course will focus on the musculoskeletal system, which is a term for all the structures of the skeletal and muscular systems. These courses are also called interdisciplinary programs.

The first step to becoming a physical therapy specialists is to enroll in a school of physical therapy. You can choose from a number of schools throughout the country. The physical therapist school should have adequate classroom space, as well as the space needed for clinical work. You also will need to have the equipment necessary to carry out your duties. You will need to be able to have the tools needed to perform all of your clinical duties, including light boxes, gloves and medical scrubs. in order to minimize contamination when performing physical therapy treatments.
